Who We Serve

Admissions criteria for the inpatient program for adolescents at Covington Behavioral Health in Covington, LA

The adolescent program at Covington Behavioral Health provides inpatient care to young people of all genders ages 10-17 who are struggling to succeed in school, at home, or in their communities because of the mental health challenges they are facing.

Inpatient care may be an ideal option for your child or teen if they need an acute level of care with round-the-clock monitoring to help them start functioning at a higher level. Depending on your child’s specific needs, the typical goal of inpatient care is to help your child step down to a lower level of care so they can continue progressing toward better health. However, we will work with you and your child or teen to determine the most beneficial continuing care option for them once their stay at our facility in Covington, Louisiana, ends.

We primarily provide care for adolescents suffering from severe symptoms of an anxiety disorder or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). You can either walk in or schedule an appointment with our intake department to receive an initial assessment that will help determine if our inpatient program for adolescents is a good fit for your child’s or teen’s current needs. The kind and compassionate team at Covington Behavioral Health is highly experienced in working with young people to help them achieve lasting healing from the mental health challenges that have disrupted their lives.
