  • We are offering visitation through telehealth services so that our patients can remain connected to their loved ones.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services are being vetted and may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

Making an in-person visit to our center isn’t always possible, so we have widened access to our services by offering telehealth solutions that bring our programs to your homeThe definition of telehealth is the secure use of technology to deliver patient care without the patient and health provider having to be in the same room or location. At Covington Behavioral Health, we offer several telehealth services to ensure that our patients get the care they need, including:

  • Telehealth intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults 
  • Televisitation for patients participating in our inpatient programs

Telehealth Programming

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Covington Behavioral Health supports adults age 18 and older who are struggling with various mental health concerns and substance use disorders. Some adults step down to our IOP after completing a higher level of care, while others enter treatment directly at the IOP level without having completed other programming. 

When it isn’t possible to participate in our IOP on-site at our center in Covington, Louisiana, you or your loved one can receive care through our telehealth therapy services. Telehealth psychiatry takes place through virtual communication using a videoconferencing tool, much like Skype or FaceTime, allowing you the flexibility to work treatment around your lifestyle and schedule.  

You can use your smartphone, laptop, or computer to engage in our telehealth IOP from the location that is most convenient for you. Transportation, childcare, and conflicting schedules are less of a barrier with the availability of our telehealth services.
